A saying that supports just enjoying the moment (but I don't have the exact wording so this is a paraphrase): Poetry is a love affair and lovers don't take notes. <br /><br />Thanks for the Nelson Bentley poem. The first poem of his I read was in Sheila Bender's book <i>Writing Personal Poetry</i> called "Julian at Ten." It was the first pantoum I ever read and it absolutely fascinated me...still does.
