Blizzards Back East

I love this photo from the Library of Congress archives - Senate pages having a snowball fight in front of the Capitol Building. Wish our Senators and Representatives could get along as well as these boys seemed to do while on opposite sides.

Hope all of you caught in the blizzards are staying warm, drinking cocoa, and cuddling up with good books.

  1. Great photo an commentary. Surely the crocus and daffodils must be making winter nervous by now.

  2. I don't know about daffodils and crocuses under the snow but here in southern California, the golden heads of the daffodils were bent low after our heavy rains last week. Now that the sun has returned, the daffodils are upright and bobbing. Ah, winter!

  3. We still have huge piles of snow on the ground here in Maryland, but life is beginning to get back to normal. I have some pictures on my blog taken outside my house last weekend. Now, I'm ready for spring!
