"The miracle is not to fly in the air, nor to walk on the water, but to walk on the earth." (Chinese Proverb)
Ooooh! Love the mmms of autumn!I personally also like the "iced coffees of summer" but that's not nearly as evocative as your poem.....
The older I get, the faster summer goes by. And I love fall.
The hums we hear are the cicadas and toads. Love that in August. 13 Ways is one of my favorite poems. It reminds me of haiku, of course. :) I can't wait to see our whole thing put together by Trisha.
Julie, I just came inside from the garden, where the bees had their noses in the mint blossoms. Thanks for the lovely words, and for one of the most gorgeous blogs around. Where do you get the wonderful photos? Are they yours?
Julie,UM...I love your poetry stretch contribution! So clever.
